Description
If you want a fast-growing, highly attractive food plot that will bring in deer throughout the entire hunting season, check out the CRUSH Pro Brassica Blend. Lush green top growth is attractive in the early part of the season and as carbohydrates and high-energy food sources become scarce, the bulbs are highly sought after. This blend has 6 different brassicas that were hand-picked by Lee Lakosky to be the most effective fall food plot.
The biomass of this blend allows for planting in small hidey hole food plots where browse pressure is high. It can grow in less-than-ideal soil conditions. The leafy tops will stay green well after a frost and are a perfect source of protein at a time when other food sources have turned brown.
This blend can be hunt ready within 3 weeks of planting.
For best results, plant 6-8 weeks before the average first frost. Here is a handy frost calculator to know when to plant: https://www.almanac.com/gardening/frostdates
Time planting so there is a good soaking rain within 10 days of planting. This will ensure timely germination and prevent seed loss to turkeys and other birds. We recommend having soil pH between 6.0-7.5 for this product. Without a soil test, we recommend putting 75 lbs of 13-13-13 per ¼ acre.
