CRUSH Fixin’ Clover
Description
Description
There is no doubt Fixin’ Clover is the fastest growing clover on the market. It is comprised of 100% annual clovers, which come screaming out of the ground compared to their perennial counterparts. Our blend of lush annuals regrows very quickly when faced with heavy browse pressure. These varieties have the perfect mixture of attraction and growth. This blend has 4 different clovers that were hand-picked by Lee Lakosky to be the most effective annual clover blend you can buy.
The biomass of this blend allows for planting in small hidey hole food plots where browse pressure is high. It can grow in less-than-ideal soil conditions. Fixin’ Clover will stay green well after a frost and is a great source of protein for bucks growing antlers and lactating does.
This blend can be hunt ready within 3 weeks of planting.
For best results, plant 6-8 weeks before the average first frost in the fall. Here is a handy frost calculator to know when to plant: https://www.almanac.com/gardening/frostdates
Fixin’ Clover can also be planted in the spring to build soil nutrients and suppress weed growth ahead of your fall-planted seed. Fixin’ Clover builds a valuable source of green fertilizer by way of roots that fixate nitrogen, which is often a limiting resource for fall-planted blends. Make sure to time your planting so there is a good soaking rain within 10 days. This will ensure timely germination and prevent seed loss to turkeys and other birds. We recommend having soil pH between 6.0-7.5 for this product. Without a soil test, we recommend putting 150 lbs of 13-13-13 per ½ acre.

GREAT NURSE CROP
Fixin’ Clover can be mixed with Amazin’ Grains at the time of planting if you want to use the “nurse crop” seeding technique. The cereal grains will grow taller than the clover to begin with and allow the young clover to devote energy into root growth, which will lead to faster top growth later.
