CRUSH® Radishes - 1 lb.
Overview
CRUSH® Seeds of Science® Radishes are the most drought tolerant fall-planted food plot seed available on the market. Specially developed for maximum attractiveness, these radishes produce lush, green leaves and energy-rich tubers that deer can’t resist. They thrive in a wide range of soils and are engineered to provide both early-season forage and late-season draw, making them ideal for kill plots. Their fast-growing nature provides consistent food availability, and their high yield supports healthy deer populations. For superior performance and attraction, try the CRUSH Radishes. They can be hunt-ready within 3 weeks of planting.
For best results, plant 6-8 weeks before the average first frost. Here is a handy frost calculator to know when to plant: https://www.almanac.com/gardening/frostdates
Time planting so there is a good soaking rain within 10 days of planting. This will ensure timely germination and prevent seed loss to turkeys and other birds. We recommend having soil pH between 6.0-7.5 for this product. Without a soil test, we recommend putting 75 lbs of 13-13-13 per ¼ acre.
No matter where you hunt, deer have a sweet tooth for radishes. After many years of researching different radish varieties on the Lakosky farm, we selected the one that had the most attraction, known as the CRUSH® Seeds of Science® Radishes. This variety is built for late-season attraction, and it does so with a combination of top and bottom growth. This is a forage radish, meaning it can withstand heavy grazing pressure. Biomass of this variety maximizes tonnage and protein levels, while extreme temperature, durability, and drought tolerance give it resilience to thrive. This easily established annual is a real showstopper for your kill plots!
